Become a Framer Expert!

If you're planning to become a Framer Expert, here are some personal tips to do before starting your process.

Hey there👋🏾

I’m super excited because I recently got approved as a Framer Expert.
Framer is a No-Code tool to build and publish websites.

Framer Experts a program for freelancers and small agencies (less than 5 employees) who want more exposure to potential clients.

To get approved as an expert, here are the steps I did:

1. Create a Contra profile 👤

Head to contra.com and create an account, which you’ll need to fill with all your personal information.

2. List down 3 of your Services ✍🏾

Add at least 3 main services that you can offer as a professional on your area of work. Also add as much information as you can to be clear with your potential clients.

In my opinion, the clearer, the better and if you add images / visual reference even better.

3. Add 3 Framer projects 🗂️

Either you made them for clients or for yourself, any of them are ok, just make sure they are live on the web, working normally and without any problems.

Include your work process, mockups, and many more of the fancy stuff to each one of them.

4. Create a personal website 🌐

This is a high-quality recommendation, overall Framer ask for this as a requirement, so to make it easy, you can take everything you’ve created in Contra and add it to your new website.

For me personally, I’m still working on my website before launching it 100% (including updating my domain and everything) but that also worked for me when I submitted my application. Meaning that you (might) not need to purchase a subscription to get it done ⚡

5. Submit your application 📨

Head to Framer, fill the form with all your basic information together with your Contra profile URL

Time and Response 🕑

In my case it was pretty quick, it took around like 5 days but from what I searched on the community, it usually takes the Framer team to answer back around 1-2 weeks based on what other experts had said from their cases as well.

So be patient, there’s no rush for this, if you’re already rocking it with Framer, then that approval will come. I wish this encourages you to start your journey to become a Framer Expert as well and get your badge ⚡
